Black OPS Support Network has made strides in supporting individuals in their re-entry journey. Notably, the organization successfully a couple facing homelessness and probation violations by providing housing, transportation, and employment resources. Upon the couple violating probation and parole, Black OPS Support Network assisted the couple in safely surrendering to the appropriate authorities. The organization's reach is currently constrained as its founder personally funds these initiatives. While the scope may be modest, the commitment to assisting those in the re-entry process remains unwavering. The organization's accomplishments underscore its dedication to making a meaningful difference, albeit on a smaller scale due to financial constraints.

In its nascent stage, Black OPS Support Network seeks to utilize donations for organizational expansion. The initial focus will be to continue to raise community awareness of the organization’s services through the development and distribution of professional marketing materials, including flyers and business cards, to garner more referrals and clients. Given that the CEO personally funds operational initiatives currently, grant funds will play a pivotal role in expanding the client base. The organization has a short-term goal of significantly increasing the number of clients served, aiming to triple the current count to six individuals. Ensuring clients have access to essential resources such as housing, food, clothing, and personal hygiene items will be paramount. Grant funds will synergistically complement the organization's existing network of community resources, including organizations like Circle Up Indy and Indiana Parole Board.

Black OPS Support Network's project aims to bring about impactful changes for individuals re-entering society after incarceration in Indianapolis. The overarching change sought is the successful and sustainable reintegration of program participants into the community, with a focus on reducing recidivism rates, fostering community support, encouraging long-term financial stability, and leveraging resource connections. A primary long-term goal of the organization is to lead to a reduction in recidivism rates among program participants and, by extension, in Marion County. By addressing fundamental challenges faced by re-entering individuals, such as employment barriers and housing instability, the organization aims to break the cycle of reoffending and support participants in achieving financial stability and long-term success. Through strategic collaboration with community-based organizations and stakeholders, the organization endeavors to create a sense of belonging for clients within the community. By engaging a diverse range of partners, Black OPS Support Network aims to foster positive relationships and encourage community members to support and engage with the re-entering population, mitigating the societal stigmatization often faced by individuals with criminal records. Black OPS Support Network aims to implement a multifaceted approach to bring about positive, lasting change for individuals navigating the complex process of re-entry into society.
